Q. How do I identify the correct Honda color code?

A. Two minutes of effort is "well-worth it" with these NON-returnable color-coded items. Open up your driver's door and take a look on the inner door jam. You should find a sticker that looks like "1st Example" below. 

Image Regardless of the website's claims on interior color such as "Taupe", "Beige", etc. focus on the Important Determinant ...which is the "Type" letter. In the 1st Example, "A", is the interior color code and in the 2nd Example, "U", is the interior color code.

On the checkout page, enter your interior color code plus denote which item in the cart it pertains to. For instance "The seatbelt has color code 'A'."

Q. What is a VIN and where can I find it?

A. Every car and light truck model year 1981 or later has a unique 17-character vehicle identification number (VIN). A VIN has many important uses, including unlocking important information about a vehicle's history.

The VIN is located in a number of places on a car, but most commonly on the dashboard (you can see it through the windshield) and the driver's side door jamb sticker. On some vehicles the VIN is also placed on the engine, hood, and other parts. The VIN may also appear on car titles, insurance policies, service records and police reports for the vehicle.

Q. What is your Return Policy? (more details)

A. Return requests are subject to bkhondaparts.com approval. Please include invoice number, full name and date of purchase for return consideration. In the event that you choose to return an item for credit, we will credit your original method of payment. Items submitted for return are subject to the following criteria:

  • All returns must be requested for credit within 15 days of purchase.
  • All returned items must be in new and resellable condition and in original packaging.
  • All returned items must include any installation hardware and packing.
  • All returned items must be free of marking on packaging or covering over the Part#.
  • No Returns on electrical Parts.
  • No Returns on Color-Coded Parts.

Parts such as seat belts, airbags, interior body parts MUST be purchased with the correct color code. We cannot rely on the VIN#. Since American Honda will not accept returns on these specifically color-coded parts, we cannot either. To ensure the shipment of correct colors for your parts you should provide a color code in the "Comments" text box of your order, telling us which item in your order this a color code pertains to. See color-code question above for assistance.

Q. What if there is damage due to shipping or missing Items?

A. If you receive an item damaged or missing components please notify us immediately. Please contact us and notify us of the situation. We will do whatever is necessary to satisfy you in a timely manner.

Q. Is there a restocking charge?

A. Restocking charges of 20% will be applied.

Q. What are your Shipping Charges? (more detail)

A. After placing items in your cart, ship charges for "Ground" and expedited methods are calculated by entering your zip and clicking on the "Calculate" button. This calculation is based on Fedex's rates and your location.

Q. What are your Handling Charges?

A. These are 10% of the Total Order amount ...not to exceed $5.00.

Q. When will I Get my Order? (more detail)

A. You can expect Quick Shipment since IN-Stock orders placed before 3:00pm EST Monday-Friday are shipped the following day. In the event a part(s) must be ordered from American Honda, it usually takes 2 business days to arrive to us(unless 1990 model or older then allow 5-6 days) and is promptly shipped to you. Unfortunately, Honda will not ship directly to you, only to Authorized Honda Dealerships. 90% of orders are shipped complete within 2 business days of placement. In the event a part is backordered or temporarily unavailable we will contact you with an estimated time of arrival. Time in transit depends upon your location. As we are in Illinois, transit times could be from 2 days to the midwest to 3-4 days for the Northwest.

Q. How can I get an owners manual or service manual for my Honda.

Q. How can I get a key or radio code?

A. As these are security features, you must physically present proof of ownership for these to be provided for you. In the case of a radio code, you should start with the dealer where you purchased the vehicle. If privately purchased, you will need the serial number from the radio, which requires physically removing the unit.

Q. The catalog shows parts listed as left ( L ) and Right ( R ), which is the driver's or passenger's side?

A. The driver's side is considered the Left, as if you are sitting in the vehicle, and the passenger's side is the Right. Also, most diagrams only show the part for one side but they will have two illustration numbers. In these cases the top number will correspond to the Right or passenger's side and the bottom number will correspond to the Left or driver's side.

Q. I am uncomfortable giving my information over the Internet, is there any other way to place an order?
